Designed specifically for palletizing applications, the four-axis Motoman EPL500 Expert Palletizing robot is a high-yield manipulator that features internally routed air and I/O signal lines.
The EPL500 NX100 has a wide 360 degree work envelope that allows it to service multiple infeed conveyors and pallet loading stations.
PC-based off-line programming software is available as an option to simplify programming of palletizing applications for the Motoman EPL500 NX100 robot. EPL-series models are highly reliable, with a 62,000-hour MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) rating.

The revolutionary NX100 controller has been awarded Best-in-Class for path planning and a unique cross-shaped navigation cursor, both of which help to decrease teaching time. This controller can easily tackle a variety of tasks, and up to four robots (36 axes, including robots and external axes), and I/O devices. In order to produce the highest level of performance, path accuracy, and vibration control, Advanced Robot Motion (ARM) control is also included. Remote mounting of the control cabinet is also an option as most all of the operator controls located on the pendant.
Some other features include a Windows CE programming pendant with full-color touch screen, high-speed processing, unmatched memory (60,000 steps, 10,000 instructions), built-in Ethernet, a robust PC architecture, and four levels of password protection for up to 100 individual users. Additionally, there is a convenient compact flash slot to make memory back-ups easy and an optional on-line troubleshooting guide available on the pendant to help with maintenance.
